Rich Lefko from MyMac Magazine recently reviewed the iFrogz Vibez speaker system and gave it a MyMac rating of 4 out of 5. Rich described how the Vibez helped him out with a presentation he had to give.
“There I was, in the conference room setting up for a presentation. I needed sound for a clip within my Keynote presentation. They had one of those mounted overhead projectors all wired up with sound. I reached behind the Windows machine and unplugged the audio and video cables and plugged them into my MacBook. The video came up, but no sound. Beads of sweat formed on my brow as I tried in vain to get sound out of that system. The presentation was set to start in less than ten minutes and some early birds had already arrived. Read on to find out what I did.”

The iPod halo effect has proven that it can also be extremely damaging. Wolfson Microelectronics, the Edinburgh microchip designer, which once prospered under the glow set off from the iPod has now suffered an extreme drop in share prices of almost 30 percent, as news broke that the iPod contract from Apple was lost.
Wolfson had previously lost the contract to manufacture the chips for the iPod Classic but was still providing the chips for the iPod Touch and iPod Nano which it admitted to losing yesterday in a business update.
While still making microchips for the iPhone, the loss of the contract has dropped shares to the lowest in three-and-a-half years. Investors are worried that the loss of the iPod contract is just the beginning in setbacks for the once heralded company.Wolfson has also failed to land big deals in other music-enabled phones to replace the MP3 players.

Everyone knows the 3G iPhone is coming, the question is how soon? The answer may be sooner than we think.
According to the Huffington Post Apple has yet to restock their stores in New York City with the current 2G iPhone. All three NYC Apple stores are now “out of stock.”
There has been some speculation that the new 3G will be coming in June, yet it is only March and with three more months till June is it possible we may be seeing the 3G iPhone a little sooner?
Guess we’ll have to check back on NYC to see if it is just an error that they are “sold out” of the old ones. Otherwise hold on to your horses folks the rumor of the new 3G iPhone may just become factual sooner than later.

The iPhone is getting better and better. Not only has Gartner, a world’s leading information technology research and advisory company labeled it ready for business use, along the same lines as the Blackberry, Windows mobile and Symbian Series 60 devices with the upcoming firmware 2.0 release, but soon you will also be able to conduct 2-way video conferencing.
Gartner had previously deemed the iPhone unfit for business use but points out three features in the 2.0 that will bring it up to business speed. First is the access to corporate Microsoft Exchange email servers, second is the secure Virtual Private Network links for the office and third is that users can connect to secure corporate wireless networks in the office.
This will allow “enterprises to develop local code and create applications that do not depend on network capabilities,” says Gartner’s Ken Dulaney. “Expansion of the iPhone into the enterprise could mean that Apple will become a mainstream supplier of client platform development tools. This could mean that other Apple products begin to appeal to end users.

Well, if you’re going to spend 14,000 on a concerto piano that is not actually a piano but instead a dining room table you had better at least make sure it has an iPod dock in it!
The way it works is the middle console of the table lifts up just like a grand piano and will fill the room with enticing tunes direct from your iPod. As you listen to the music you can sit and have evening cocktails and then a full dinner. (Simply get the silverware from a hidden drawer under the table!).
The music will not get in the way of delectable delights set on the table as it will play with or without the soundboard open. And all that for just $14,00! Seriously. Lovegrove & Repucci have set it all up for you complete with a recommended dinner music playlist.
