New Apple Ipod Phone for 2007

The Zune may have been released with a hope to get Microsoft into the iPod game, but its’ release is only seeming to causeipod phone the smallest ripple. Apple, however is seeming to be growing in every field the iPod can expand into by leaps and bounds.

First came the iPod Shuffle, the teeny tiny matchbox boombox, that is inexpensive enough for all to afford. Even for those who already have an iPod, the shuffle for just around $80, is a must have.

Next, the patents came for an iPod touch sensitive frame or screen, enlarging it’s video screen and paving a way for a new Apple Ipod that many seem to be waiting for.

Third, iPod announced the first ground breaking deal with the airlines, which will integrate iPod hookups into airplane seat backs. This will allow for iPod charging and viewing on long international flights and will seem to soon be expanded into all airlines.

Now Apple, according to a published report, may release an iPod phone within the first six months of next year. Foxconn Electronics will make the music handset, said DigiTimes.com, which covers Taiwan IT companies, citing the Chinese-language newspaper Commercial Times.

The first shipment of 12 million units is reportedly to be released in the first half of 2007. All in all, the Zune at least for now, does not seem to have created, even a small speed bump, in the way of Apples dominance over the iPod market.
