Youths use Bear Spray to Steal iPod’s

Granted in Winnepeg, Canada I’m quite sure bear spray is well known for it’s complications to humans. I however, have only recently been educated on the fact that it is far more potent than mace and certainly can’t be pleasant if sprayed in the face. Still, at the words - “Hand over your iPod or get blasted! - with bear spray” - I can’t help but chuckle.
Three boys, ages 15 and 16, were arrested Thursday morning in Winnipeg, Canada in connection with just such a robbery spree. According to police, bear spray was used to threaten people and steal their iPods. Two people were approached, threatened with the bear spray and told to hand over the devices or get blasted.
The case has prompted another plea from police to iPod users to use non-iPod headphones, rather than the distinctive white earbuds that come with the Apple product, when out in public. “It will save you a lot of grief.” Const. Jacqueline Chaput said.
While covering or certainly not showing off your iPod earphones is probably a good idea - for me I think I’ll replace my mace with bear spray - Nobody better mess with my iPod!
