The Real “Cool Factor” Is Inside The iPod Building

Specifications have finally come-out for the new iPod building in Dubai, and it is super hi-tech, super futuristic and just plain cool.

The 26 story, 231 room apartment building is being built as we speak and boy does it have some ammenities. The iPad, as it is being called, will feature nine incredibly high tech components.

First is the iReality which will project virtual skylines from around the world on the apartment walls. (Ah romance provided upon request. Guys, let me let you in on a secret - being able to put the sky above Paris on the wall, with a voice command - well lets just say it’s a winner every time!)
Second is the iHealth which will provide weight, blood pressure and temperature measured by the iPad apartment itself (can you imagine standing in your kitchen and asking your apartment what you weigh! One way to provide motivation to lay off that doughnut.)
Third is the iAmbience which will change sound and light in your ultra-suave apartment at the touch of a button.
Fourth is the iEntertainment which will provide karaoke for parties in the iPad. No cables or machine needed.
Fifth is iVoice which basically means your apartment will respond to voice commands just like in the futuristic sci-fi movies.
Sixth is iSecurity
which will provide RFID proximity tags. An RFID tag is a microchip attached to an antenna, which transmits unique information to a reader device that can be anywhere from a few inches to several feet away. The RFID proximity tags will be used instead of keys.
Seventh is iMessaging which will provide broadcasting of messages on corridors outside the apartment. 9Don’t know quite how this would work although I’m sure there might be some rather interesting messages being spread around.)
The eighth incredible “cool factor” component is the iRotation Room. This is provided in the two bedroom apartments and will rotate the rooms to change the view of Dubai. (Can you imagine the fights with your children - “Quit rotating the room! That is not a toy! Can you imagine how much fun it would be rotate away!)
The ninth amenity is the iSpa which incorporates the likes of iDeckchairs which allow users to listen to their own chosen music without headphones.

The building is set to be completed in 2008 and is proving to be an inspiration of innovation.
