Are you tired of having your CD player, your DVD player, your subwoofer, your iPod dock, your speakers, and five remotes laying around, usually found under couch cushions after hours of looking. Well now, you can replace it all and just have one beautiful remote to look after. (well, provided you have just won the lottery but hey, we’ll get to that later)
The Arcam Solo Movie 5.1, creates astounding sound and picture quality. The Alto loudspeakers convey your music with superb resolution and finesse. The iPod rLead, ($110) is designed to work in direct conjunction with Solo Movie 5.1 and will charge your iPod. The speakers will make your iPod sound like you have a front row seat, at the NY Philharmonic. (all workable of course with your one fabulous remote). - (No, wait we’re not done the features are only just beginning - remember the lottery.)
No perfect Solo system would be complete without DAB digital radio and a high quality FM tuner. (for those in worlds without DAB an AM/FM reciever will be fitted) It also has a slick clock and alarm function, with of course multiple settings, two independent volume controls for those with a multi-room system to enhance, and lastly the sleek remote has multiple presets and allows you to instantly control Solo from wherever you may happen to be. (I think we skipped the amplifier which delivers power with finesse) ah the powers of finesse.
Now, I didn’t go into the technical mumbo of the infrared sockets that can control a multi-room system and gold plated speaker terminals which accept 4mm plugs or the RS232 serial port that accepts commands from a computer-controlled keypad as part of a fully automated installation - or any other of that technical mumbo jumbo - just suffice it to say - it’s a darn good system! One, any and all of us would enjoy having in our house. (plus you could sell all the other 500 bits of equipment you have lying around on e-bay and perhaps get some of your 2000 pounds or 3,913 U.S. dollars back - hey if you do that it could be less than the HD TV you’ll want to hook it up to.
