The iDA-X001, controls your iPod with menus that are navigable exactly like the iPod, on a 320×240, 2.2-inch screen. It displays a full color image and menus with color display viewing modes. You can even view your album art or personalize it with a wallpaper.
It uses the iPod’s USB connection for fast access and pure digital information which is sent to the built in 24-bit digital sound converter. It plays the compressed audio formats with MediaXpander which restores the harmonic structure and adds clarity to your music. The USB connection is compatible with fifth generation iPods and is included.
The iDA-X001, is also Bluetooth ready with the KCE-300BT ($220), and will allow for a wireless connection, hands-free operation, caller ID, phone book access and on-screen call info.
To finish it off, it also is HD ready, provided you buy the TUA-T500HD accessory for $250, as well as Satellite ready with the KCA-SC100 for $80.00.
The device itself runs $450. With Bluetooth, HD, and Satellite it’s an even $1000.
