Bigger, Better and WiFi - Not the Zune, Apple’s iPod Video

Watching a video on the iPod is about to become better, bigger, and wireless. Apple is scheduled to release a new iPod Video in the UK in January 2007. Smaller and more elegant than the Zune, the new iPod Video will have a bigger screen, WiFi capabilities and is much easier to use.

Being cited as a “commuters dream” Apples new iPod Video will have a screen of 3.5 inches, with super sharp colors - allowing for movies and TV episiodes to look as good as they do on TV. If watching a new movie with widescreen, simply turn your new gadget 90 degrees and presto - widescreen.

Due to the larger screen there will be no real scroll wheel but instead a virtual one with menu’s identical to the old iPod, thus overcoming learning a new system while still retaining all the versatility of the old.

One huge plug for this video iPod is it’s built in WiFi eliminating the need to “plug-in” to your computer. Skiing, sitting on the beach, or dancing the mamba you will still be able to download new TV shows, movies and other multimedia content.

No need to worry about where to get your TV show and films since iTunes has already been updated to sell them along with your favorite TV episodes. Working late you won’t even be behind on office gossip about “Survivor” as new episodes can be downloaded as soon as they are broadcast. You can even plug the iPod Video into your television when you get home at midnight and relax with a super big screen and a bowl of popcorn.

The new iPod Video will retail for 400 pounds in the UK, costing $512 US.
