iPhone and JAJAH

Currently JAJAH’s mobile web calling is only compatible with Symbian phones or with phones that can operate Java, but according the Java blog, Java will also be compatible with the iPhone.

Jaja works like this - you can very simply just log into mobile.jajah.com from your web browser on your iPhone, type in your user name and password, you can then call any number in your address book through JAJAH for a much cheaper price. Conference calls through JAJAH to anywhere in world are reduced by up to 95%. You can schedule calls days ahead of time, with text reminders sent to your phone. Text messages can be made directly from your desktop. A new service will launch soon with JAJAH Dynamic Buttons allowing you to receive calls, text messages, voice messages and e-mails without revealing any personal data.

All in all having JAJAH compatible with the iPhone will add value to the phone and makes it’s $500 price point better, and while there has been no announcement from Apple in regards to JAJAH’s web post on Jan. 9th, JAJAH said this “We are going to bring JAJAH Mobile to the iPhone as soon as it becomes available. iPhone users will be able to make free or very low cost global JAJAH calls with a single click, without a special download, other equipment, wi-fi or broadband access. You’ll just need to be a registered JAJAH user - and registration is free.”
