Elton John On iTunes

The iTunes music library is ever expanding and Elton John has announced he will add all of his more than 400 songs to the list.

This will be the first time the star has released his music in a digital format for sale and iTunes will have the music exclusively from March 26th to April 30th. After April 30th other digital music stores will be able to sell his music as well.

It is not Elton’s only venture as now that he is going digital he may also be releasing his music for mobile phone ringtones.

John said in a statement: “I knew that the entire catalog — not just the hits — needed care and attention to be released in this way. Now that it’s happening, I’m pleased for the fans’ sake.”

He went on to say, “The world has certainly changed since Philips Records issued my first single on seven-inch vinyl - 39 years ago this month.”

Elton John is also releasing his new compilation album Rocket Man - The Definitive Hits, and celebrating his 60th birthday with a performance in Madison Square Garden this weekend.
