Disney + iTunes = $$$

Walt Disney is lovin’ iTunes as they revealed last week that they are selling an average of 250,000 movie downloads every month.

In total Disney’s CEO Robert Iger said that they had sold 23.7 million episodes of their television shows and 2 million feature films through iTunes.

Iger also said that Disney is quite happy with iTunes prices, he stated, “There are cost of goods that are factored out of the iTunes sale, which allows them to sell at a lower price. That’s their decision and it allows us to take revenue out that is equal to, in terms of a per-click sale, store sales. So, yes, we’re quite comfortable with iTunes.”

During the first quarter of this year Disney has earned $931 million on revenues of $8.07 billion.
