A Phone That Charges By Candlelight!

How cool would it be to have the power go out for hours and yet still be able to charge your dying cell phone by a small trickle of candlelight?
That is exactly what you can do with the new first ever solar cell phone from HiTech Wealth communications.
The phone is packed with smart phone applications including a microSC memory card slot, MP3 player,and 1.3 megapixell camera but the most interesting feature is the scale-like solar paneling on the top side of the clamshell-designed phone. These solar panels will trickle-charge the battery inside or outside in any amount of light including candles. One hour of direct sunlight will give you another 40 minutes of talk time.
“With more than 400 million mobile phones in the country, China would save a great amount of electricity if all its mobile phones were recharged by light,” said the chairman of Hi-Tech Wealth, Zhang Zhengyu.
The company plans to market six of their new phones this year and 30 next year. At the moment you can only purchase the $510 phone in China.
Still not cool enough to compete with the frenzied clamor supporting the iPhone (unless the iPhone battery quits after two months) but still cool nevertheless and who knows maybe the iPhone will soon support solar panels as well.
