Check For Virus Before Buying iPhone

PandaLabs has unveiled a tool used by cyber-criminals that will end up costing you if your computer has one of the 7,500 zombies on a botnet that is infected by Aifone - a bot Trojan.
If your computer is infected then when you go to purchase the iPhone you will be redirected to a web page that is an exact duplication of the Apple iPhone home page but instead of buying the iPhone the criminals will use your credit card and bank information to possibly empty your accounts.
“This is one of the most sophisticated attacks we have seen targeting a user community, in this case iPhone users,” said Luis Corrons, technical director of PandaLabs, in a written statement. “It is a really complex, dangerous attack that combines elements of malware (the Trojan), phishing (the spoofed Web page), and even adware (pop-ups, modification of search results, etc.).”
The malicious software also brings up ads when you do a search for the iPhone all redirecting to the false webpage.
The worst of it is, says Panda Labs, is that it could be converted to work with any product users might be shopping for.
Ryan Sherstobitoff, Product Technology Officer at Panda Software (News - Alert) USA, stated, “It is a good practice to minimally do a NanoScan at http://www.infectedornot.com/ to see if there is any active malware running on the system before doing any internet purchase or banking.â€
