Musika For The iPod - A Visual Head Trip

Play music on your iPod in a whole different way - through a cool utterly mind-blowing visual game.

Musika has just become available as a new game for your fabulous iPod. It was developed by Matsuya Matsuura, creator of the hit PlayStation music games Parappa the Rapper and Vib Ribbon.

“The iPod is a device that revolutionized music and it is now poised to be a progressive gaming platform,” said Matsuura. “Many years ago Apple’s tools first opened my eyes to the power of music and multimedia, so it’s exciting to release my first game for this device.”

The way it works is simple - pick a song from your music library than start the game. Every time a letter that’s in the title of the song you’re listening to comes up on the screen you press the center button on your device.

The quicker you press the button the more points you get. The letters come disguised in all kinds of visualizer-styled graphics, featuring the letters in flag-flapping-style, pheudo-pixalted, sideways, and all other sorts of optical illusionistic ways making it harder than you may think to pick out the letters and very, very cool to look at.

If you want simply to just watch the graphics unwind, rewind and flow you can put the game on visualizer and let it showcase its graphic magic just because.

The more you play and the better you get the tougher and more sophisticated the graphics gets giving you a reason to play on, play on.

Musika is available for the iPod via iTunes for $4.99.
