Avoid Robbery - Listen to iPod

I know that listening on your iPod can sometimes be a bit distracting but to miss a whole robbery? Really?
It would appear that that is exactly what happened although the iPod listener’s co-worker was not so lucky and will likely suffer nightmares forever.
What happened was two workers were closing up shop at a Cold Stone Creamery in Florida (robbing a ice cream parlor? - boy those robbers were really going for the big bucks or maybe they just had the munchies). One of the workers went out back to take out the trash while another one was out in the front part of the store cleaning and jamming to the iPod.
Suddenly two men jumped the one dumping the trash and put a hard object to his back. They then demanded him to shut off the business lights and get the money out of the safe near the cash register.
Meanwhile the worker listening to her iPod out front just jammed away and continued sweeping up the front of the store never even noticing her co-worker opening the safe in the dark while trembling in fear afraid a gun was stuck in his back!
I almost understand jamming to the iPod so loudly you are tucked into utter oblivion and at closing I suppose the lights are turned out at some point but to have a whole robbery take place lights out and all and be totally oblivious! Guess all you can say is wow, that’s one powerful iPod.
