The New iPods

Apple has just released a whole new sling of iPod which should be in stores this weekend.

First we have the shuffle with a revamping of five brand new colors including red, of which part of the proceeds go the Global Fund to fight AIDS in Africa.

Second we have the iPod Nano 3G - a video Nano, short and fat as previously touted. The 3G has been nicknamed by many as the “fat nano”. The 3G features video, games, a split screen, enhanced images, coverflow, 5 hours of video playback, retains the click wheel and comes in stylish new colors. Price for the 4GB is $149 and the 8Gb is $199.

Third we have the 80 and amazing 160GB Classic iPods - basically the old video iPod with tons and tons of storage. In all you could store as much as 40,000 songs and 200 hours of video. (Enough to last you even if you are “Lost”). It also features a sleeker design and an all-metal enclosure. Price for the 85Gb is $249, 160GB is $299.

Third we have the iTouch iPod, - the iPhone without the phone. This is awesome - you get Safari, full web browser, availability to check e-mails (although this is not as easy of a process as with the iPhone) without the extra cost of AT&T connection, so you can keep your old phone if you like. Best of all iTouch is affordable costing only $299 for the 8 GB and $399 for the 16GB.
