The new Landrover Freelander 2 which goes on sale this week in the UK has a range of accessories and one of them is of
course for the iPod. The 4X4 incorporates a dock to the left of the steering wheel for the iPod nano and iPod 30+60GB. The iPod is then accessed through controls in the steering wheel for track selection and volume.
Another addition is the rear screen entertainment system through which the iPods can also be incorporated. The system includes two 5.6-inch LCD screens in the rear headrests. Ipods, DVD players and most portable audio video devices will be able to be connected.
The Landrover is expected to sell well in the U.S., unlike its predecessor, partly due to it’s bigger size, more comfort on the inside, increased carrying capacity, and commanding views from the cabin.
