It used to be that when you purchased individual songs on iTunes, and then decided to buy the album you still had to pay full price but no longer.
Itunes is now crediting songs purchased when buying the full album. They are calling the program: “Complete My Album”.
Not only that but for the next 90 days they are offering the discount retroactive to users who purchased the tracks all the way back to the when iTunes first opened four years ago.
Eddy Cue, Apple’s Vice President of iTunes said, “Once we bought a song, we wondered why we had to buy it again if we wanted the album,” Cue said. “We hope it helps us sell more songs ultimately, and from the customer point of the view, we think it’s the right thing to do.”
