Bootlegger Party For iPhone Apps
11.01.07 - 10:20am
Apple told third party developers that come February they would open up the iPhone. February, however is months away and who wants to go through the holidays without a little hullabulla? Thus third party applications have made way to create a festival of their own thanks to AppSnapp’s “jailbreak” application.
Jailbreak brings back all the third party applications that were xd-out when Apple made its 1.1.1 iPhone software upgrade. It patches Springboard to load the apps, installs Installer and fixes Apple’s TIFF bug. Jailbreak also activates non-AT&T iPhones automatically, without hurting activated phones and fixes YouTube for non-AT&T iPhones.
According to AppSnapp over 150,000 “jailbreaks” were made in the last three days. Something Apple is surely not happy about but something party goers are reveling in.
