iPhone Speaker Docks at CES

A slew of accessories for the iPhone are being released at CES today in Las Vegas.
Here are a couple of speaker docks you may be interested in.
The JBL On Stage IIIP Dock, has the certified “Works with iPhone” certification from Apple, and more importantly allows calls to come through while the iPhone is playing music!. A call will stop the iPhone’s music, allow you to answer the call and hang it back up on the dock, before it resumes playing. Magic. It also has four integrated 6-watt drivers for ultra-deep bass. It is compatible with iPods as well and also carries the “Made for iPod” Apple certification tag. It retails for $170, and is due out in February.
Altec Lansing also rolled out iPhone speakers complete with Apple’s iPhone/iPod certification. Called the T612 the system is compatible with both the iPhone and iPod. It too features bass-enhancement technology, this time from “XdB” as well as neodymium speakers. The T612 employs “shielding” to preserve the GSM communication and will pause the music while a call is made and click back on when the user is finished. It also includes a wireless remote and retails for $199.95. It will be out in February as well.
