It seems like it would be more appealing if it was simply a case for the often abducted iPod rather than an MP3 player most people don’t want. Nonetheless, it’s out there; a MP3 player designed for holsting a taser stun gun.
With the slogan “Fashion With A Bite” the stun gun and MP3 holster hit the market at the CES show in Las Vegas complete with a leopard print enhancing the “bite” in the “fashion”
“These new product are a result of listening to our customers. Personal protection can be both fashionable and functionable,” said Rick Smith, CEO and founder of Taser International. “The Taser C2 leopard print design provides a personal protection option for women who want fashion with a bite.”
You can also get the stun gun in pink and red-hot red if you don’t like the leopard print The built-in MP3 holster holds a 1GB memory card for storing music and retails for $72.99. The actual stun gun that fits so seductively into the MP3 holster, holds 50,000 volts of electricity and retails for $379.
While the MP3 player may not be what one is buying when they buy a taser, the device certainly has garnered the attention of many, boosting tons of PR for the company and getting especially women thinking of ways to protect themselves from the would be dangerous elements out there on a cold dark night.
43 states have approved ownership of tasers by the public with seven having restrictions on ownership. The states with restrictions are: Maryland, New York, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Wisconsin, New Jersy, Michigan and Massachusets.
