They will simply look cool sitting on your open window, especially overlooking a sandy beach and white tipped blue cresting waves. Even if you don’t have the beach the new Memorex iWake iPod alarm clocks have a certain spring look and feel about them that may, just may, keep you from hitting them with a sledgehammer on a particularly sleepy morning.
It will also help to wake up to your favorite morning songs from your iPod rather than a blaring Beep, Beep, Beep. The iWake includes an iPod dock that will charge all iPod models, an AM/FM built-in radio, snooze button (of course) and a white backlit LCD display.
The springtime looks are created by a metallic red, blue and purple combined with a white backdrop. Originally the iWake was only available in black and white. It retails for $79.99 and is available at all Target stores nationwide.

What would it be like to live in a world void of the need to plug in and charge your mobile phone or your iPod? It may be world we are closer to living in than we think.
“There is a big drive towards using wireless devices, but one of the challenges in supplying power to these devices is that
batteries have a finite supply that needs to be replaced. We have a spin-out company that is now looking at powering pacemakers from the movement of the heart. ”
“As the power consumption of electronic devices continues to fall, the opportunity to use these devices to power them becomes more apparent. The potential is there for devices like mobile phones and MP3 players being at least augmented by vibration generators. There is quite a lot of energy available on a human such as the impact of a heel on the floor which could also be used,” said Dr Steve Beeby.

All I can think of when I think of Energizer is the pink bunny hitting the drum going, going, going, and still going.
Now they have developed the Energizer for the iPod with the Energizer Energi To GO Portable Power (say that five times fast). What it is is a patented intelligent chip that maximizes power transfer to the iPod from two Energizer AA batteries.
“For many consumers, digital music players are an essential,” said Mike Rivard, Energizer General Manager, New Products. “They don’t go anywhere without their iPods. This new Energizer Energi To Go Portable Power for iPod allows them to know that whether they’re on a plane, at the beach, or anywhere in between, their music will keep going. And it features the kind of design that iPod owners appreciate and expect.”
The charger flips open into a nifty little stand for the iPod while it is charging and then folds back up for compact storage. It is also super light weight.

Wonders of wonders - not only do we have “smart” clothing that can control the iPod through the sleeve and fabrics that have whole keyboards integrated in them but now our clothing can also charge the iPod. That is if you can call a bikini clothing.
Andrew Schneider, a New York University student, has invented the delectable piece of clothing that will soak up the rays of the sun with photovoltaic film strips. So while you are getting that perfect tan you can also store 6.5 volts of solar power, more than enough for your little music player or cell phone. (I cringe at the new lines soon to be heard “Hi, I was just wondering if I can get a charge?, Charge me up baby, You look electric!”)
Schneider said, “The specific suit being built is a bikini. I decided to go with a female suit because of the sleeker form. The demographic I can foresee actually becoming interested in such a thing are those who enjoy mobile culture, hanging out, music, and kitsch. A demographic not unlike that to which the Apple corporation seems to preach.”

Blue Raven has just released an iPod Battery Replacement Kit meant for those old worn out iPod batteries that are either quitting completely or taking constant recharging.
The kit gets rid of the need to send in your iPod to an iPod repair place to have it changed, thus eliminating the repair fee of around $65 and also eliminating the good old wait to get your iPod back. Now you can change it yourself for only $29.95.
“Changing your own iPod batteries is actually quite easy and inexpensive,” said Blue Raven’s President and COO, Glen Kashgegian. “With this new line we are empowering consumers to maintain their own devices to get more value and use out of their investments.”
The new batteries also last longer than your old batteries, increasing capacity by up to as much as 30%.
The Blue Raven iPod Battery Replacement Kits are available at CompUSA, E-Cost, Micro Center, Amazon.com, Ingram Micro and Blue Raven’s own website.
