Now you can, from your iPhone or iPod Touch thanks to the new application called TiVoRemote. A user named Duckfin has compiled a program that gives the iPod touch and iPhone a TiVo Remote. The TiVoRemote, makes a practical use of TiVo’s Telnet control feature. With most other apps, it does require a jail broken iPhone or iPod.
Installation is quite simple and will allow for TiVoRemote to be installed, once a new source has been added. When you launch this program and enter the settings menu, the next requirement is the TiVo’s IP address. Your iPod or iPhone is now ready to control your Series 3 or HD TiVo. Hit the TiVoRemote link in order to complete the instructions.

For installation, you can simply add http://tivoremote.googlecode.com/svn/www/repo.xml to your installer app sources and click on the TiVoRemote in the “toys” category. Now you’re ready to finish that project at work while your TiVoRemote does the work for your TiVo at home.

The iPhone has been heralded as the “Invention of the Year” by Time magazine and had an utterly superb phone web browser
with a beauty no one can deny. Nonetheless it has often been criticized for its lack of business use. Avaya Inc. is about to bridge the iPhone with businesses allowing it to connect seamlessly to the business network while at work.
Avaya, is a privately held telecommunication company that specializes in enterprise telephone and call center technology. With the new downloadable program which is set to come out in the UK at the beginning of 2008, business users will be able to go to work and connect the iPhone into their business network. This will allow for the iPhone to take over the typical desk phone. It can then be used for conference calls, call transfer, abbreviated dialing and anything else the desk phones can do.

In today’s world life is often about how much power you hold and now, you can literally carry power with you everywhere you go. It may not be enough to get the VP job at work, but it will be enough to keep your iPod powered so you can listen to “Hang on for one More Day” when you don’t.
The power comes through solar powered hand bags, perfect for carrying all your business items, including your iPhone and iPod. They come equipped with a lithium ion battery which is charged through the bags solar panels that are conveniently placed on one side. A USB cable with interchangeable tips is included for connecting to the battery and then to your iPod, iPhone and the like.
All you have to do is place the bag on a windowsill, on the dash in the car, a park bench, a sandy beach… - anywhere there is sun (Good for all but people who live in Seattle) and your phone will always be in good use. No more stranded with no cell power and the evil man chasing you. (Think Halloween movies.)

The iPhone is out of the gate running hard and running fast. Now it is time for the accessories to start their turn around the
track.
“The iPhone is a showpiece,†said Kathy Sharpe of Sharpe Partners, a marketing agency based in New York. “It is all about status and fashion. Anything that lets you show it off, you will want.â€
Basically the accessories for the iPhone will be a huge business, it will most likely bring in even more revenue than the accessories for the iPod due to the higher cost. Richard Doherty, a principal in the Envisioneering Group says that consumers typically spend half as much on accessories as they do on the product. He said “We expect three million iPhones to be sold in the first 45 days, with an average $225 spent on accessories per unit.â€
