Is Your City Getting A New Apple Store?

Well for anyone living in Holyoke, Massachusetts, or Ann Arbor, Michigan, or Orland Park, Illinois come this Saturday at 10:00 a.m. it will be a little easier to get an iPhone as each city will be getting it’s very own brand new Apple Store.

Each of the new stores will be opening in the local malls - Apple Store Holyoke will be at the Holyoke Mall, Apple Store Briarwood at Brairwood mall and Apple Store Orland Square at, you guessed it Orland Square mall.

The new stores offer all the free cool workshops like the others. If you want to learn about the iPhone you can make an iPhone workshop reservations online at the Apple website for any store in the U.S.

10,9,8,7…. The iPhone iDay Countdown Has Begun!

If you have been hoping to pay someone already camping out at an Apple store in the hopes to get one of the first iPhones, their service prices may have just gone up.

Ads have sprouted up on Craigslist from entrepreneurial people hoping to cash in a quick buck by charging to purchase a phone for someone or giving their place in line to the highest bidder.

Today Apple announced that the phones would be limited to two per person, which actually with the good old law of supply and demand will raise the prices of those coveted first in line spots.

The gadgets are expected to sell out quickly even with the 2 per customer restraints. You can purchase more at the AT&T store but there you also have to sign up for a 2-year service plan thus increasing the cost and adding all sorts of logisticts to transferring the 2-year plan from one name to another (I’m sure there will be those who will figure it out though, we’ll probably see the iPhones on e-bay with a preset service agreement attached).

The iPhone Lines Have Begun

The fans are already lining up for the iPhone giving them just four days and three nights to hang out in the parking lot of the Apple store in New York waiting for 6:00 p.m. Friday.

They will be hopefully have lots of water and a spray bottle to cool off with, as the temperatures are expected to be 90 degrees and above and we all know what that means for blacktop temperatures.

Just a note: Any ice cream or snow cone entrepreneurs out there you can make a killing just hanging out at any AT&T store where the weather is hot!

Jessica Rodriguez who is fourth in line outside the New York Store said, “I love everything Apple, and this is going to be something that goes down in the history books of cell phones.”

Third in line David Clayman, a recent university graduate, says he plans on buying several iPhones, one for him, one for his father’s 50th birthday, and one to auction off for his favorite charity.
