Designed to work in perfect conjunction with Arcam’s Solo Movie 5.1 - it is easily controlled from the Solo Movies’s handset, as all music is displayed on Solo Movie’s front panel and can be seen clearly from across the room.

However should the $3249 price tag of Solo Movie 5.1 dissuade you, the rDock will connect to any hi-fi through its buffered RCA jacks designed to prevent sound distortion when your iPod is off and charging while you’re playing music from another source. The RCA sockets also enable audiophile cabling to be used.

The rDock also has s-video and composite-video outputs that will allow it to be hooked up to the TV.

The Mobile Cruizer which will be released in Japan in the next few weeks allows you to charge the shuffle from any wall outlet no desktop or laptop needed. The Mobile Cruizer costs about $29.
