iPhone Price Cut Attracts Student Buyers
09.07.07 - 03:48pm
SurveyU conducted a flash survey of students that showed a big change in the way they felt about purchasing an iPhone after the price cut. (If the report of the students, who are generally strapped for cash, also reflects the mass population that is generally strapped for cash, Apple will be selling a lot more iPhones in the near future.)
The survey had been conducted each month regarding the iPhone and showed that the intent to purchase immediately had dropped from 3% in May to 2% in June to 0% the last two months. However, after the price cut it rose back up to .5%.
Those who are planning to purchase the phone within a few months jumped from 2% to 4%.
Most significantly those who plan on purchasing the iPhone once their current contract has expired jumped from 4% to 11%, and those who never planned on purchasing the iPhone dropped from 17% to 11%.
