I guess if you’re sitting in a classroom cheating on a test and the teacher spots your earphones you could just remove them and show her your earings instead!
We do know the iPod world has gone completely nuts when we have jewelry fashioned after headphones but alas proof of the nuttiness is here with the iArtifact earings that mimic Apple’s earbuds - minus those obnoxious cords of course.
The iArtifact earbuds are a design thesis from Ashley Gehman whose website says that the “iArtifact explores the cult of the iPod and shifts the icon into a realm of new product. Balancing a line between participation and provocation iArtifact is a exploration of cult design.”
The earings are not yet available to the public. Gehman has also designed an iPod bracelet.
