When your famous I guess everything is possible. David Beckham the English soccer legend and current player for the Los Angeles Galaxy was gifted a very unique iPod Touch.
According to Engadget, the English national soccer team gave David Beckham a gold plated iPod Touch for playing in his 100th game with the club. The English soccer team said it only put them back $1,188.
Movie rentals are now available from iTunes following an announcement from Steve Jobs at MacWorld on Monday.
The videos can be rented for $2.99 to $3.99 with a $1 upgrade if you want to purchase the video in HD format. They are not however, compatible with the 5G video iPod or the Touch unless you pay for the $20 upgrade.
Why are they not compatible with the 5G? Nobody really knows and Apple isn’t saying. Many believe Apple simply didn’t want to take the time to create a software upgrade for the old iPods, especially when it gives users a reason to purchase a new model. Some believe there could also be hardware limitations in the older versions.
VoIP is here for the touch in a hack completed by Touchmodders.
The application shown in the video here has been released by the Touchmod team, for free, in the hopes that you will then buy their special iPod Touch microphone. (Something you rather need in order to actually speak to someone using their VoIP Touch hack.)
The hack is just a beta version and will most likely have to be updated when the 1.1.3 Apple Touch update is released. The current beta version does require users to “jailbreak” their Touch devices, which many people may be reluctant to do. Those that already have however, should find that adding the new VoIP hack is a relatively simple process.
To add the hack go to touchmod.net and add their Touchmod team’s server to the Installer’s source list to then see the application. You will also need a SIP account.
