The Alpine in-dash radio designed with the mechless head units, targets the iPod user.  This unit has a stellar 4.3-inch screen QGVA color monitor designed to show the driver, when in iPod mode, the artist, song and title as well as the cover art in an awesome resolution.  The screen has a backup camera and optional navigation input.  Alpine worked directly with Apple on this project which resulted in an Apple-certified compatability for iPod and iPhone functions supporting the video file search and playback.  This item is currently AM/FM, but is upgradable with HD Radio tuners, Sirius satellite radio, and Bluetooth navigation.

Remote Control iPod Speakers

remote-car-speakersI never would have imagined a remote control iPod speakers.  The Bless Automatica Remote Control Car equipped with iPod Speakers with music on the go, can also be used as a tray to deliver items by remote or be used as a CD holder.  This will set you back by about $275.00.  I’m not sure if this comes  in other colors besides black and white.

iSimple Gateway Interface works with 2009 Vehicles

Some of the automakers that approve usage of the GateWay products include Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Lexus, Lincoln/Mercury, Nissan, Pontiac, Toyota and Volkswagen.  The iSimple GateWay satellite signal data for connectivity to the automobile sound systems direct to the iPhone or iPod.  It charges the battery for the iPod/iPhone, features a secondary headphone input, displays song information, and let’s you browse for songs, using your car’s radio controls.

In reading some of the comments, make sure that you have the installer wire the interface into a switched power source, so that the unit only powers on when the key is turned on in the ignition.  Otherwise, this may drain your battery.

Vestalife Jewelbox iPhone/iPod Speaker

The Jewelbox by Vestalife has a little different shape from the first lady-bug inspired speaker.  There is still no information on the price or the availability yet.

iPod comes Standard with Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M

This limited edition of the Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M is now offering a 499 limited edition iPods. The Scuderia Spider 16M is the first vehicle to offer a personalized 16gb iPod iTouch.  There are only three colors that the Spider 16M is available in black, yellow and red.

The iPod sits in a special dock in the middle of the dashboard, where it can be easily reached.  Consumers who want more of a standard stereo have an option for a Cascade radio with Bluetooth and iPod connectivity, and Ferrari will still throw in a 16g iTouch.  Pricing is currently not available, which means most of us can’t afford this stellar looking car.  We can always dream…….

Sony’s Air Play Wireless Sound System for iPod’s

The Sony Airplay is not only wireless, it also includes two wireless speaker systems just starting at about $400. It sports a built-in iPod dock, an AM/FM radio receiver, alarm and clock, it allows you to listen to the radio and music from your iPod simultaneously, without interfering with other household devices. Dad would love this! The wireless speakers also includes a remote control capability for the iPod player’s music. This will be available from Sony some time in September online as well as other selected retailers. This can transmit up to 10 speakers sold separately from Sony for about $130.

United Airlines Will Offer iPod and iPhone Hook-Ups

United Airlines will be the first U.S carrier to offer iPod and iPhone hook-ups to their customers, which will allow them to view video content on their own personal television, as their iPod or iPhone charges. The upgrades will be installed first to their entire International fleet over the next two years.

United Airlines Flight # 936 from Washington, D.C. to Zurich will be the first flight to receive the upgraded equipment, which is manufactured by Panasonic Avionics. Passengers will be able to charge their iPods and iPhones while watching videos in the comfort of their own seats. They will be able to choose their own programming, at their convenience.

The Nike+ Sport Kit monitor is one of the most stellar items you can purchase for your iPod if your a runner, hiker or just simply into fitness.  The iPhone SDK kit may soon be available for the iPod Touch and iPhone.

Product consists of an accelerometer-based pedometer/sensor that can be attached to your sneaker.  The wireless receiver, which plugs into your iPod.  This kit will monitor time, distance, pace and calories burned.  It displays the information on your iPod’s screen and delivers audible feedback through your headphones. Runners can choose to track and share their results no matter what program you choose.

Gold Plated iPod Touch?

When your famous I guess everything is possible. David Beckham the English soccer legend and current player for the Los Angeles Galaxy was gifted a very unique iPod Touch.

According to Engadget, the English national soccer team gave David Beckham a gold plated iPod Touch for playing in his 100th game with the club. The English soccer team said it only put them back $1,188.
