Survey Likes iPhone

A new survey released by Markitecture puts sales of the iPhone in a good light.
The survey of 1,300 people found that 6 percent would likely by the iPhone within a year. To put this in the billion cell phone market perspective Markitecture says “The highly successful Motorola RAZR, after its launch in 2004, achieved a 6 percent market share at its peak.”
The survey also reported how the more people heard about the iPhone the more they liked it. 11 percent said there was a 50-50 chance or better they would buy the iPhone in the next year. The main reason the other 89 percent said they had less than a 50-50 chance, with two-thirds saying no chance was due to the cost. The second reason was due to having to switch carriers.
“Purchase intent was far higher for AT&T/Cingular customers than it is for customers of other carriers,” the report said, “roughly twice as likely when compared to Sprint Nextel, T-
Mobile, or Verizon Relevant Products/Services customers.”
