Serenata - Phone W/ Built-In Speakers
10.02.07 - 05:16pm
Samsung is launching their first competition to the iPhone with the Serenata.
The Serenata doesn’t look like the iPhone or any other phone we’ve ever seen, rather it more resembles on first glance an itty bitty juke box. Created by designer David Lewis the organic rounded shape of the Seranata was made to resemble pebbles shaped by ocean waves. (That is what it says on the website) Either way it is an utterly unique phone design.
Like the iPhone the Seranata does have a touch screen, although on the Seranata this feature is secondary. The primary functions of the Serenata are made through the navigation wheel, which is located above the top screen and dominates the phone. The navigation wheel controls searching menus, dialing, writing, accessing music lists, and almost all the functions of the phone.
The LCD 2.26 inch touch screen located below the navigation wheel is more for viewing song lists, phone lists, e-mail and text messages.
