A Shuffle of Diamonds

But seriously folks! Really!

Diamonds around the Shuffle, naturally, after all it is an Apple product.

This shuffle case comes with a mix of gold and diamonds and runs for about 40 gees. Looks like something you might see Paris Hilton wearing.

ifrogz Launches Shuffle Multipaks

Ifrogz is launching the first of their new multi-packs to their online store in the form of their new Shuffle wrapz.

Three different shuffle wrapz come in each pack guaranteed to be one of the hottest fashion back-to-school accessories.

The wraps are made of 100% silicone w/anti-dust technology and come in all the colors pictured above. The wrapz are each two toned with color medleys such as the red/gray, orange/light gray, bright pink/light pink, orange/purple, dark blue/light blue and more.

The wrapz slip on easily around the shuffle with a cutout for the controls and the headphone port so the shuffle is still as easy to use as ever. The clip is left uncovered as well for ease of use.

Each package of three wrapz retails for $14.99 and are available now.

A Shuffle and A Bottle

While your camping out in Apple’s parking lot, waiting for the iPhone, listening to your Shuffle will be a must, and the new little gadget from Digital Media might just come in handy.

Why? Cause you might get a little thirsty out there and the Bevy not only has a crystal-clear polycarbonate cover for the Shuffle with a stainless steel insert, but it also doubles as a headphone wrap, key chain, and bottle opener.

The Bevy is the first of three items to be developed through the morphie illuminator project that started at MacWorld ‘07. There MacWorld attendees doodled out more than a 100 concepts, of these concepts three were voted on and chosen to become actual prototypes.

The Bevy was designed by Jared Fiovorich, a 17-year-old student and skateboarder from Santa Cruz, California. It will hit retail stores sometime mid-month, including Apple stores - a place you can also find cool iPod cases and soon the iPhone!

Creative Releases Half Price Shuffle Competition

After reporting another net loss (fourth in five quarters) Creative sources said that they were aiming to recoup lost revenue by generating more iPod accessories. Yet it would appear Creative is still aiming to compete with Apple rather than promote them with accessories as they have announced the launch of their new small-capacity MP3 player with the same amount of storage as the Shuffle, but for half the price.

Called the Zen Stone the player will store 250 to 500 songs depending on the bitrate chosen, in MP3 or WMA format. The battery lasts for about 10 hours.

The player will retail for around $39.99, while the shuffle retails for around $79. The Stone will be available in black, red, pink, blue, green or white. The Shuffle is available in white, pink, blue, green or orange.

Happy iPod Mother’s Day

A friendly reminder here - Mother’s Day is just around the corner and while it may be okay to be late on a birthday, it is never, ever okay to be late for Mother’s Day. Thus it is important to get started on that little reminder now and Apple is helping by offering free iPod engravings as well as free gift wraps.

How nice it will be for your mom to remember just how much she is loved every time she plays her favorite music on her favorite music player and the special signature gift wrapping is a nice touch as well.

You get one line/38 characters on the shuffle, two lines/23 characters on the Nano, or 2 lines/44 characters on the 30GB so make it good - my favorite “Don’t let Dad borrow this” although “World’s greatest Mom” will probably make her heart melt more.

Wear Your Shuffle On Your Head And Hear It Without Speakers Or Earphones!

These days wearing those little white earbuds can be a health hazard as more and more people are getting accosted while walking or jogging to some tunes. One also can get into a tangled mess trying to cross streets in traffic with bass pouding in your ears shutting out all other sounds. Thanko has solved both problems with their Vonia Sports Headband BCT - a fully integrated system for almost any MP3 player that makes the headphones utterly unnecessary.

The headwrap uses BCT (bone conduction technology). BTC conveys the vibration of the sound through your skull directly to your audiotry nerve, bypassing the tympanic membrane. Basically you can hear the music without your ears!

This leaves your ears free to hear all the other noises, such as the car coming at you. You could even still hear your boss at work although he might wonder at your choice of fashion accessories.

Apple Stock Back On The Rise

News from the Prudential Equity Group that Apple is poised for a solid fisqual second quarter, sent Apple shares up four percent today in afternoon trading to $89.25 rising $3.35.

“Our recent checks with industry contacts suggest a solid March quarter with seasonal iPod unit weakness being more than offset by stronger Mac sales and higher margins due to a favorable component cost environment,” analyst Jesse Tortora wrote in a client note.

Shares of Apple have been down about 12 percent since reaching highs that peaked at $97.80 after Steve Jobs announced the iPhone.

Tortora said that along with Mac sales tracking ahead of company expectations, iPod after holiday sale drop-offs had been partially offset by stronger sales of the iPod Shuffle when the “shuffle colors” were released.

Spring Colors For The Shuffle

The holidays were alive with the sounds of the shuffle as it swept over the country, becoming the second best selling digital music player in the U.S.. Silver bells seemed to be the tone as the Shuffle was second to only it’s counterpart the silver Nano.

Now just in time for the spring fashion shows the Shuffle has become alive with more than music - it is now beating out it’s songs in shades of pink, blue, green and orange.

“With the Shuffle, color is arguably more important because you’re going to wear it, and when you’re going to wear it, it becomes more of a fashion item,” Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of worldwide iPod product marketing, said today in an interview. “For that reason, we think people will want to buy more than one”.

The shuffle retails for $79 in stores everywhere.

David vs Goliath - Apple Sued

This is what Luxpro is touting on their website as they claim victory over Apple and rejoice by filing a 100 million dollar lawsuit against the high-profile conglomerate.

The dispute between the two companies began back in 2005 when Apple filed petition against Luxpro claiming their MP3 players looked too much like the Shuffle and violated laws concerning duplication. At the time the Taiwanese court agreed as Luxpro could not remember where the design idea had come from. Luxpro waited a year filing appeal after appeal until finally winning in district court. Luxpro stated in papers that “This belated verdict, was without doubt justice well deserved.”

Luxpro is asking for the 100 million in damages due to lost sales since the ban on their products was instated. They also said Apple directly or indirectly through distributors, approached electronic sales stores, issuing stern warning and demanding all Luxpro players removed from the shelves immediately. They supposedly followed with threats to withdraw all iPod products and take legal measures if this was not done.
